Welcome to the The Peaks Artisan Cheesemakers

We’re very excited about this one….

The Peaks Artisan Cheesemakers are Luke Armstrong and Vanessa Lipscombe, who are both are passionate about food and established their micro dairy in 2018. You may have seen their cheeses at local Farmers Markets, and we are very grateful that they have been able to now start supplying cheese to us.

Mountaineer (pictured above) is a semi hard cows milk cheese made from organic milk from single herd of Normande cows. Both sweet and savoury with an aromatic rind, this open textured tomme style cheese has a rich and creamy clean flavour. An excellent table cheese and delicious melted over potatoes and cornichons in the style of a Raclette.

Bon Accord is a thinly rinded cow’s milk white mould made with organic Normande milk and a geotrychum rind – the one that resembles the contours of a brain, with wavy troughs and peaks. It has a fudge like texture in the centre and oozy closer to the rind.

Both cheese are available instore and online for Click & Collect and delivery.
