The Tivoli Road Baker ‘More Than Cheese’ Box

As stockists of Tivoli Road Bakery Bread we are delighted to be stocking Michael & Pippa James’ new book The Tivoli Road Baker.  Be inspired by the range of recipes, from sourdoughs & croissants, to savoury pies & traditional cakes, & indulge yourself by trying some of their delicious recipes with a selection of Harper & Blohm cheese.

With the spring asparagus season upon us, who could go past Grilled Asparagus on Sourdough with Comte & Pickles – with a rich béchamel sauce & lightly pickled shallots bringing this together, it makes a superb light lunch or supper dish.

Our favourite is the Potato, Mushroom & Taleggio Pie –  with the pungent washed rind cheese & earthy mushroom combination inspired by a pizza, and the addition of rosemary & cornichons, this pie would be a hit at any picnic or family gathering.

And finally, traditional Eccles cakes served with a piece of Hawes Wensleydale from Neal’s Yard Dairy. Flaky pastry parcels filled with a rich sweet mix of currants & spice are a match made in heaven with the subtle buttery flavour & refreshing acidity of the cheese.

Of course,  you could simply enjoy reading the book, admiring the beautiful photography whilst munching on cheese……..
