Sarafian Hummus is handmade on Wurundjeri country (Melbourne) with premium ingredients sourced from local Victorian farms and the finest tahini from Lebanon. A restaurant-quality product, it contains no added chemicals, preservatives or additives. It is also vegan-friendly, gluten-free and dairy-free.

Fresh and handmade, the hummus is a versatile ingredient, easily transformed into a main meal, like Sarafian’s signature dish with prawns and crab.
Spread it on toast for breakfast with tomatoes and an egg; top it with minced lamb cooked with onions, herbs, spices and nuts fried in butter; put it in your sandwich; serve a big dollop with steak and chips or under some barbecued vegetables. Or do as many do, eat it straight from the jar with a spoon or handful of crackers.

Tom Sarafian’s Hummus is a classic case of predestination. An Armenian-Australian chef with 15 plus years’ experience in Australia and the UK, he hails from a family obsessed with food, personally and professionally.

The three red lines on the jar’s packaging is a nod to the traditional plating of hummus with paprika fork-marks. Tom garnished every plate of hummus he served as head chef of Bar Saracen since 2018. His signature dish - hummus topped with king prawn and spanner crab - became one of the must-eat dishes of Melbourne.

“The only thing I enjoy more than making my hummus is sharing it,” says Tom. “I hope it brings as much pleasure to your friends and family as it does to mine.”
