Pennyweight Beechworth Gamay is a lighter style red which straddles that perfect line between fruit-sweet on the front palate followed up with a touch of earth on the middle palate and a dry, lingering finish.
Though pale cherry in colour, the wine carries a rich herbal nose with violet and dark fruit undertones. With minimal tannins and medium acidity, this versatile red wine pairs well with washed rind as well as semi-hard cheeses. It can even be enjoyed chilled on warmer days without losing its complexity of flavour.
