This local take on Italian mostarda is a wonderful accompaniment to cheese (hence the name) and cheese’s best friend charcuterie. The preserve is a blend of figs and pears, with a good whack of acidity thanks to some chardonnay vinegar and the gentle heat of mustard seeds. It’s about to become a regular on your cheese board.
