Descibed by Ben as a “pizza wine” perfect for enjoying at home chilling out, or with friends on the weekend.
This wine is not from the Wilimee vineyard but from another vineyard within the Macedon Ranges.
Ben Ranken approaches winemaking with a minimalist hand, using natural wild yeasts, natural malolactic fermentation with no fining, and without filtration. He attributes his passion for wine to growing up on a family farm/vineyard in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains.
Ben was a finalist in the Young Guns of Wine Winemaker competition each year from 2018 - 2021 and this year he took out the inaugural Vigneron award.
