Lancashire Bombs from J.J. Sandham

The Lancashire Bombs have landed! Only available during December, and in limited supply, these fun looking cheeses are a great addition to any Christmas cheese board.

Lancashire is an English territorial cheese from the county of Lancashire in the north west! Due to the wax coating, the ivory coloured cheese has an dense, moist texture with a tart, tangy flavour. Like other territorials, its simple flavours match well with fruit breads, chutneys & ales.

J.J. Sandham is family owned, 3rd generation cheese makers founded by John & Martha Sandham in 1929 when they began producing Lancashire cheese at their Barton Dairy. WWII interrupted production but by the 1960's productions were back in full swing. Cheese is still made today to the original 1929 recipe with locally sourced milk from within a 15 miles radius.
