A rich history

Marcel Petite is one of the most respected affineurs in France. Young wheels of Comté (an ancient type of Gruyère) are hand-selected to mature in the 19th-century underground Fort of Saint-Antoine.

The finished product is one of our best-selling cheeses. Enjoy a concentrated nutty texture and a gentle, sweet honey flavour, reflecting the rich milk of the Montbéliard cattle that graze the natural mountain pastures.

Wines for adventurous palates

In these same Jura mountains lies a wine region little known outside of France. The wines produced here are incredibly distinctive with whites made in an oxidative style and left to develop a Flor-like yeast veil across their surface.

The wines are nutty, textural and delicious. The best introduction to them is with Comté; the ultimate wine and cheese pairing and a must-have experience.
