More about Cowgirl Creamery

In 1997, Sue Conley and Peggy Smith opened Cowgirl Creamery in Pt. Reyes Station, a picturesque postage-stamp-of-a-town on the coast about an hour north of San Francisco. They started with an old barn, made it beautiful, put in a small plant for making hand-crafted cheese, bought organic milk from the neighbor, Straus Family Creamery... and before long the world found them!

Cowgirl Creamery cheeses are sold to over 500 stores, independent cheese shops, farmers markets and restaurants throughout the US. And true to their community ethos, Tomales Bay Foods continues to support and promote artisan cheesemaking, offering over 200 cheeses from all over California, America and Europe through their website and retail locations.

Signed Cowgirl Creamery cookbooks will be available for purchase at the MFWF event on March 7.
